Short Stories by Edgar Allen Poe
Like the other book that i read... this book, is many stories in one. Edgar Allen Poe writes generally quite grizly stories involving harsh deaths and in alot of cases... mentaly ill murderers. The stories are from the point of view of that person. It is the kind of book that makes your heart beat really fast and it is practically impossible to stop in the middle of the story. I think that there are two stories that really stand out. My Favourite was "The black cat". it is about an animal loving man with many pets. Him and wife lived a very happy life, until a small beautiful black cat joined them. Everywhere this man went, it seemed the cat followed him... it did nothing wrong, but the man detested all animals after this. he tried many things to try and kill it, like with an axe, however he got his wife instead! finally he hung the cat : ((((((((( but he kept seeing the cat. He bacically broke down when the police came knocking asking where his wife was and they found a very shocking secret within the house. If you think that you would like to read something as scary as this; then buy the book and you'll be in for some very good stories. 5/5 from me... now its your turn!

Like a charm... Vanitas
In class after reading stone cold and at home, reading some stories by Edger Allen Poe, i reallised that i actually really liked stories with murder twists. I discided to read a book called like a charm; this book has many stories, within the book. They don't really relate to eachother, but the link between all the stories is a charm bracelet. each charm, is a symbol for each story, and usually, something bad happens to the person who owns it. i have read a few of the stories in the book but so far... my favourite is Vanitas. It all started with a girl who enjoyes exploring. Its 1839, and she finds something very strange. after looking at a painting of her dead cousin, she finds a bracelet with a key on it. she later finds a box, full of things like dresses and the important thing... her dead cousins death mask. After asking her black slave Millie what had happend, she discovered a horrific secret. Millie was sold to another family, but the young girl felt terrible after finding... what millie had said was true. If you want to find out the secret, then get the book, it had many different stories you will enjoy- well, if you like a bit of horror that is!

Adolphus Tips
Michael Morpurgo
i love this book, the setting of the scene is when a grandma is telling the story of her life in the war with her cat. The story is from her perspective; as a child, she meets an American soldier of whom she befriends. as well as her much adored cat "tips". during this time, because of the war, she has to move out of her home on the farm that she has always loved. Tips her cat has other ideas and runs away back into the forbidon zone- her old home. during this, you see how the girl lives and how her cat changes her life forever. its exciting and sad at the same time, i really got to know the characters and thought alot about the events that happen in the book. I can't tell you too much about Adolphus tips, or it will ruin the story. I can tell you however, that this book is of 10/10 standered and you will really enjoy it... happy reading!

This is a book about the life of a Grey hound; how it starts its life beeing rescued by a boy in a canal. The dog was loved and walked and had fun with his owner every day, but was one day betrayed by a man who witnist him being rescued as a puppy, he liked this man, he trusted him; but one day, the man tricked him, and sent him away to a new life... a racing life!
The dog now had a career as a succesful race dog, in a new home with many other dogs. He becomes very fond of his new owner owner, however she has an unfortunate accident and had to send this dog away, once again.
